Repair Terms & Conditions

By submitting your device to LP Refurbished for repair — whether in person, by mail, or through our online booking form — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

These terms apply to all repair services provided by LP Refurbished (ABN: 90 220 655 876) and supersede any prior verbal or written agreements.

You confirm that you are the legal owner of the device submitted for repair, or that you have the explicit authorisation of the owner to submit the device.

LP Refurbished accepts no liability for devices submitted without the owner's consent. Any device submitted is assumed to be free of any outstanding finance, theft, or legal encumbrance.

You are responsible for backing up all data on your device before submission. LP Refurbished is not responsible for any data loss that occurs during the repair process.

All prices displayed on our website are estimates only. A final quote will be confirmed before any repair work begins.

If during the repair process additional faults are discovered, we will contact you with a revised quote before proceeding. You may choose to accept the revised quote, decline further work, or request the device be returned in its current state.

Diagnostic assessments may incur a fee if no repair is authorised. This fee will be communicated to you prior to assessment.

By booking a repair and submitting your device, you authorise LP Refurbished to carry out the agreed repair work.

Verbal or written approval (including via SMS, email, or our booking form) constitutes authorisation to proceed with the quoted repair.

You may cancel a repair at any time before work has commenced. Once repair work has begun, cancellation may incur a partial charge for labour and parts already used.

LP Refurbished uses quality replacement parts sourced from reputable suppliers. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, parts used may be OEM-compatible (aftermarket) rather than original manufacturer parts.

If you specifically request genuine OEM parts, this must be stated at the time of booking. Genuine parts may incur additional cost and longer lead times.

Replaced parts removed from your device become the property of LP Refurbished unless you specifically request their return at the time of booking.

All repairs carried out by LP Refurbished are covered by a 90-day warranty on parts and labour from the date of repair completion.

This warranty covers defects in the replaced parts or workmanship directly related to the repair performed. It does not cover:

• Physical damage, drops, or liquid damage occurring after the repair
• Faults unrelated to the original repair
• Damage caused by unauthorised third-party repairs after our service
• Normal wear and tear
• Software issues, viruses, or data loss

Estimated turnaround times provided at booking are indicative only and not guaranteed. Actual repair times may vary depending on parts availability, fault complexity, and current workload.

For mail-in repairs, turnaround time begins from the date we receive your device, not the date of postage. Return shipping time is additional to the repair turnaround.

LP Refurbished will notify you when your repair is complete and ready for collection or dispatch.

For mail-in repairs, you are responsible for securely packaging your device and covering the cost of postage to LP Refurbished.

We recommend using tracked and insured postage. LP Refurbished is not liable for devices lost or damaged in transit to us.

Return postage will be covered by LP Refurbished using a standard tracked service. Express return shipping may be available at additional cost upon request.

Devices must be sent without SIM cards, memory cards, or accessories unless these are directly related to the repair.

Payment is due upon completion of the repair and before the device is returned to you.

Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking. LP Refurbished reserves the right to retain the device until full payment is received.

Devices uncollected and unpaid for more than 30 days after repair completion may be subject to a storage fee. After 90 days, LP Refurbished reserves the right to dispose of or sell the device to recover costs.

LP Refurbished's total liability for any claim arising from a repair service is limited to the cost of the repair itself.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or loss of use of the device.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by contract.

LP Refurbished collects personal information (name, contact details, device information) solely for the purpose of providing repair services and communicating with you about your repair.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except where required by law or necessary to complete your repair (e.g., parts suppliers).

By submitting your device, you consent to LP Refurbished accessing your device as necessary to perform the agreed repair.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or our repair services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
